Who We Are:
Founded by long-time family advisors Sue Schwartzman and Elaine Gast Fawcett, Moms of Means is an exclusive circle of trust, wisdom, and connection for well-resourced women navigating the complexity of modern motherhood and wealth. We are curators of meaning with deep philanthropic credibility who bring rigor, emotional intelligence, and design thinking to a world that’s often shallow or performative. We talk about money, meaning, and motherhood in the same breath.

Why We Exist:
Too many highly resourced moms feel the pressure to “get it right” without a clear path forward. They often are longing for someone who truly understands the complexities and opportunities that come with access to wealth.
They are quietly asking deeper questions:
- How do I raise kids who aren’t entitled?
- What does enough look like?
- How do I stay centered in a world obsessed with more?
Despite managing or having access to enormous resources, many moms lack meaningful spaces to explore identity, leadership, and family culture around wealth. The current market offers financial literacy, coaching, and philanthropy consulting, yet steers away from emotional intelligence, deeper questions about the impacts of wealth, and peer connection.
Moms of Means fills that gap. Our work bridges wealth, wellbeing, and family leadership, inviting women to embrace their family leadership and self-care on their own terms, and raise grounded, compassionate, socially conscious kids. Sue and Elaine coach and create content to inspire families, and the advisors who serve them, to live, give, and connect at the highest level. Together, they bring unparalleled credibility in both the emotional intelligence and philanthropy advisory realms—combining heart, depth, and strategy.
Sue Schwartzman, Principal
Sue has more than two decades of experience working with high net worth individuals, teens, multi-generational families, and foundations to engage in conversations about wealth, money, raising well grounded kids with wealth and philanthropy.
Sue has a wide range of experience including working in the philanthropic sector in education, program development, family engagement, creating and facilitating women’s giving circles, family giving experiences, creating internationally acclaimed teen philanthropy foundations, running grant cycles, and personal philanthropic consulting.
Passionate about connecting with people, Sue is an acclaimed speaker and facilitator, has hosted several workshops for financial institutions and leadership organizations, spoken on many podcasts, authored chapters in philanthropy books, and has published pieces in the Huffington Post and other media. Elaine Gast Fawcett, Principal
Elaine Gast Fawcett (she/her), M.S., Founder of PhilanthroComm Philanthropy Advising and Communications, is an author, philanthropic advisor, and communications strategist with 20+ years serving mission-driven donors, top-tier foundations, family offices, and philanthropy serving organizations. Elaine provides guidance on grantmaking strategy, governance, communications and change management, helping families and organizations advance impact, streamline grantmaking and governance, and share the story you and your partners are creating.
Elaine is a 21/64 multigenerational family trainer and a certified story facilitator with Leadership Story Lab. She co-authored the children’s book Two Measly Spots! and the What’s Your Enough? tool, featured in Forbes Magazine. View full portfolio and client list.
